What are Shishito Peppers ?

Shishito peppers are mild green peppers of East Asian origin. They have a thin, ridged skin, and are about the length of a finger.

They are most often used in Korean cuisine as an addition to side dishes or garnish for soups and stews, or steamed and stir fried in marinade.

Shishito peppers are loaded with A, E, C and B vitamins, calcium, potassium, iron, and many other minerals and antioxidants.

Because of their high antioxidant content, they are able to fend off free radicals, which helps reduce the chances of developing cancers and lower the risk of heart disease.

It also boasts high fiber content, which makes it a great for promoting bowel movements.
