Soy Sauce Noodles

SIMPLE KOREAN

Simple yet absolutely delicious Korean Soy Sauce Noodles (Ganjang Bibim Guksu) is every Korean kid’s favorite dish growing up. It’s nutty, salty and of course, sweet. 

KEY INGREDIENTS

Somyeon Soy Sauce | Sugar Sesame Oil Sesame Seeds Red Chili Powder Green Onions

THE INSTRUCTIONS

Rinse and soak sweet sticky rice. Prepare jujube dates by rinsing and cutting to separate flesh from pit, then dicing.  Drain canned chestnuts and quarter. Drain sticky rice.

Boil a pot of water. Add dried noodles and cook per package directions.  Prepare a large bowl of ice water and dump hot cooked noodles in it. Rinse until noodles are completely cool and drain.

In a bowl, combine the noodles, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, sesame seeds, and mix until noodles are evenly coated.

Top with some sliced green onions or some gochukaru to make a grown-up version.
