Korean potato fritters or gamjajeon is so simple to make yet so delicious. Great side dish and appetizer. Crispy with soft inside.
Make the batter by mixing flour, water and salt. Peel and remove all sprouts from the potatoes. Leave in water until ready to be cut.
Cut potatoes into slices. To help the potatoes to cook, precook them in the microwave for about 2 minutes. Immediately add to potatoes in the batter and keep covered.
Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Add potato slices to the pan. Reduce to medium heat. Fry in oil for 4-5 minutes.
