with Sweet Red Bean Filling

FISH SHAPED BREAD

Fish-shaped bread with sweet red bean filling (Bungeoppang) is made with a dough that's slightly crispy on the outside, chewy and spongy on the inside with the red bean filling giving you a burst of sweetness.

KEY INGREDIENTS

All Purpose Flour Sweet Rice Flour Baking Soda | Baking Powder Egg | Whole Milk Salt | Oil | Sugar Sweet Red Bean Paste

THE INSTRUCTIONS

Mix all dry ingredients.  In a separate bowl, beat egg, then add milk.  Heat the fish-shaped Bungeoppang pan.

Reduce heat and brush insides with oil.  Pour batter into one side of the mold.  Quickly spoon the red bean paste into the middle of the batter.

Pour batter again and to fully cover the red bean paste and fill up the mold. Cover the top lid and immediately flip over the pan. Raise heat to medium low.

Cook about 2 minutes on each side.  Open the pan and check for doneness. Cook in 30 second increments until it's nicely browned. Serve with ice cream for a nice dessert or milk for a snack!
