HOT POT  WITH GLASS NOODLES

(BULGOGI JEONGOL)

BULGOGI

Jeongol is a Korean style hot pot that is cooked at the table where a combination of ingredients (usually a mix of meat/seafood and vegetables) are cooked in broth. 

KEY INGREDIENTS

Marinated Bulgogi Kelp Broth Shitake Mushroom Water Napa Cabbage Leaves Glass Noodles | Sugar Enoki Mushrooms Shitake Mushrooms Green Onions | Carrot Guk Ganjang | Cooking Sake Jin Ganjang | Sea Salt

THE INSTRUCTIONS

Marinate the bulgogi in advance. Make kelp broth. Soak glass noodles in warm water for 30 minutes.

Soak Shitake mushrooms and noodles.  While they soak, chop cabbage. Clean and cut onions,carrots, and Shitake mushrooms. Tear oyster mushrooms and separate enoki mushrooms into little bunches.

In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients - guk gangjang, jin ganjang, rice wine, salt, and sugar. Set aside.  Dump everything in the pot and add kept broth and shitake mushroom water. 

Pour in bulgogi hot pot sauce, close the lid, and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes or until cabbage is soft and bulgogi is cooked.  Serve with rice and kimchi. Enjoy!
