Korean Cooking Class for AACI Fundraiser
Win a Korean Cooking Class by Kimchimari
If you have been enjoying my recipes and want to learn more Korean cooking, I wanted to share that I am offering a Korean cooking class with me at my home for up to 3 people as part of a silent auction for Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI). AACI is a nonprofit in Santa Clara County that provides health and wellness services to low-income, immigrant communities.
Now, how did I get involved with this organization?? Well.. you see my daughter has been working at this awesome organization for the last 4 years! And I am so grateful for everyone at AACI for being soo wonderful to her and of course, for all the fabulous and valuable work they do for our local Asian American community. So… when I was asked recently if I could donate a cooking class for their event, I just could not say NO.
In the class, we will be cooking a few of my most popular and authentic Korean recipes. Each person will also get a jar of my homemade authentic Gochujang (fermented over 6 months!).
You can bid to win my Korean cooking class in two ways:
1. Attend AACI’s Better Together fundraiser on Saturday, September 8th, 6 – 9 PM at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA (I will be there!)
Tickets are available here. Each individual ticket is $200 and goes towards providing health, behavioral health, and wellness services to more people who need them, in the languages they understand. Dinner will be provided, and the first 50 people to buy a ticket will be entered into a drawing for a round-trip Southwest ticket. The cooking class is one of many auction packages that will be available at the event.
Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) has worked for over 40 years to meet our diverse community’s needs for high quality, culturally responsive health and wellness services, and this year, their goal is to raise $300,000 that will be used to support the over 15,000 low income youth and families AACI serves each year.
2. Submit a proxy bid form if you cannot attend
If you can’t make it to AACI’s Better Together gala on Saturday, September 8th, 2018, you can still bid on this item by filling out a form for a proxy bidder. A volunteer will be assigned to help you bid on the item at the event. Your proxy bidder will bid on your behalf until the price surpasses your maximum bid specified in your form or until bidding closes. Lessons will be scheduled between me and the winning bidder!
I wish everyone good luck and thank you so much for supporting such a wonderful cause.
